About us

Our goal is to help your children get the best start by providing an excellent education in a caring, Christian environment. The majority of the inclass faculty being missionaries who have spent some time in the missions fields among most difficult conditions. The final outcome for our students being disciples in the mold of the first century followers of Christ as leaders in all areas of academics and service in general.

Character development  in our students is important; an integrated view of spirituality and professional life is key.  All endeavors must be viewed as ministry to the Lord; separation of responsibility to Him in diverse roles is discouraged.

Each child is different and has unique abilities. The aim is, while providing a strong educational foundation, to identify traits that may be developed in each child to flourish and contribute to their uniqueness.

Small class sizes with the separation of content delivery from classroom management is the concept we advocate in order to give maximal attention to students while keeping a high faculty to teacher ratio.

Our Mission And Purpose

Mission Statement

To provide a Christ-centered education to children, equipping them spiritually, academically, and physically for today and eternity.

We adopt the Biblical position that the education of children is primarily the responsibility of the parents. However, we are told in Ecclesiastes 4:12 that “…a cord of three strands is not quickly broken…” We believe that the three strands of the Home, the Church, and the School can impact a young person’s life and keep him walking in the way that leads to righteousness. We, therefore, endeavor to be an extension of the Christian home and a tool for enhancing the spiritual, academic, social, and physical development of its students.

Vision

To see our graduates as disciples of Christ with vibrant, ongoing relationships rooted in obedience and a Biblical worldview, and a desire to impact their world for Christ, while possessing all the academic skills and tools they need to succeed when entering college or the workplace.

Our Core Values

We believe the Bible to be the divinely inspired Word of God, inerrant in its original manuscripts (II Peter 1:21).

We accept the traditional principles of Christianity, outlined in the Bible, as the standard for daily living (II Timothy 3:16).

As Christ is the cornerstone of the Church, we believe that He is also the cornerstone of the educational process (Ephesians 2:20-21).

  • We believe in the Biblical position that the education of children is primarily the responsibility of the parents.
  •
  • JICIS is considered to be an extension of the Christian home and a tool for enhancing the spiritual, academic, social, and physical development of its students.
  •
  • We welcome constructive parental involvement in our classrooms and extracurricular activities.
  • We value community and biblical relationships and believe that parents, teachers, and churches working together provide the best education for each individual student.
  • We believe that the school and its attending families must share the same educational vision for the student’s educational process to be effective.
  • A student in grades 7-12 may be admitted on their own statement of conversion.
  • JICIS is a non-denominational school that is not affiliated with any particular church or denomination.  In our Bible classes and in our daily conduct, we emphasize those biblical principles that unite the body of Christ rather than those aspects of faith on which there is disagreement.
  • We believe that genuine love and respect for one another is the best witness for Christ and provides the best atmosphere for learning.
  • We pursue excellence in everything we do.  (Colossians 3:23)
  • We seek to provide a safe and secure environment for all our students.
